For Admins

Create and manage community events, meetings, and gatherings with dates, locations, and RSVP options.

Last updated: 2/10/2026

Events keep your community informed about upcoming meetings, social gatherings, maintenance schedules, and deadlines. Residents can view event details, see locations, and plan ahead.

Creating an Event

Navigate to Admin > Content > Events and click Create Event.

Event Form Fields

  • Title — Name of the event (e.g., "Annual General Meeting", "Pool Opening Party")
  • Description — Details about the event, including agenda items, what to bring, etc.
  • Start Date & Time — When the event begins
  • End Date & Time — When the event ends (optional for events with no fixed end time)
  • Location — Where the event takes place (address, room name, or "Virtual")
  • Category — Organize events by type (e.g., "Board Meetings", "Social Events")
  • Visibility — Who can see this event
  • Featured Image — Optional image for the event listing

Date & Time

Set both the start and end date/time for your event. For all-day events, you can set just the date. For recurring meetings, create each occurrence as a separate event.

💡
Time zones

Events display in the time zone configured for your portal. Make sure your portal's time zone is set correctly in site settings.

Location

Enter a descriptive location that helps residents find the event:

  • Physical address: "Community Clubhouse, 123 Main Street"
  • Room name: "Meeting Room B, Building 2"
  • Virtual: "Zoom — link in description"

Include any relevant access instructions in the event description.

RSVP Configuration

If your event supports RSVPs, residents can indicate whether they plan to attend. This helps you estimate attendance for planning purposes.

Enabling RSVP

Toggle RSVP on when creating or editing an event. When enabled, residents will see RSVP buttons on the event detail page.

Tracking RSVPs

View RSVP responses from the event detail page in the admin dashboard. You'll see a count of responses and who has RSVP'd.

Attachments

Attach files to events for supporting materials like agendas, maps, or signup forms. Upload files directly or link to external documents.

Managing Events

Editing Events

Click any event to edit its details. Changes take effect immediately — if you update a time or location, residents will see the new information right away.

Canceling Events

To cancel an event, you can either:

  • Delete the event entirely
  • Update the title to include "[CANCELED]" and add a note in the description explaining the cancellation
⚠️
Communicate cancellations

If you cancel a recurring event like a board meeting, consider posting a notice so residents who don't regularly check the events page are informed.

Best Practices

  • Add events early — Post events as soon as dates are confirmed so residents can plan
  • Include full details — Location, time, and what to expect. The less residents have to ask, the better.
  • Use categories — Separate board meetings from social events so residents can filter by interest
  • Clean up past events — Periodically archive old events to keep the calendar current
  • Add a featured image — Especially for social events, an image makes the listing more inviting
